Description
The American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor Manual is designed for use by AHA PALS instructors. The most current AHA PALS Instructor Manual is required for any instructor teaching PALS. The AHA PALS Instructor Manual contains all the information needed to teach the PALS course, PALS Update course, and conduct the hands-on session for HeartCode® PALS.
The PALS Manual for instructors consists of the following:
- Initial or Renewal Course Lesson Plans
- Instructor Led Training and Online Blended Learning Lesson Plans
To teach an AHA PALS course, instructors will also need the AHA PALS course videos that can be found in DVD format, or Streaming format.
What year is the most current AHA curriculum?
The AHA 2020 Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor Manual fits the new standards set by the American Heart Association. Every five years the ECC updates standards and guidelines for CPR and First Aid. Any older training videos or curriculum such as the 2015, or 2010 guidelines have been retired and should no longer be used. In 2025, the ECC will release new guidelines and the AHA may choose to update curriculum then as well.
